SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026 Announces First Round of Session Speakers

Japan and Global Innovation Leaders Gather in Tokyo

On November 25, 2025, the first round of session speakers was announced for SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026, Asia's largest global innovation conference. To be held at Tokyo Big Sight from April 27–29, 2026, the event will focus on four key areas—AI, Robotics, Resilience, and Entertainment—featuring a full lineup of sessions, exhibitions, and demos. This inaugural announcement features a diverse lineup, from top names in global venture capital to leading Japanese executives and pioneers in AI research.

Spotlight Speakers

Christine Tsai | 500 Global CEO & Founding Partner

Christine Tsai is the co-founder and CEO of 500 Global. After graduating from UC Berkeley, she worked in product marketing at Google before co-founding 500 Startups (now 500 Global) in 2010. Under her leadership, the firm has grown into a global VC managing $2.4 billion in assets and investing in more than 2,800 startups across 80+ countries. Its portfolio includes 35+ unicorns such as Canva and GitLab.

Kentaro Kawabe | LY Corporation Chairman of the Board

Kentaro Kawabe is an executive who has driven Japan's internet industry. He founded a company during his university years in 1995 and joined Yahoo! JAPAN in 2000. Appointed CEO of Yahoo Japan in 2018, he led major strategic initiatives including the acquisition of ZOZO and the turnaround of PayPay. Following the 2023 merger of LINE and Yahoo Japan, he serves as Chairman of the Board at LY Corporation.

Miki Tsuzawa | Microsoft Japan President & CEO

Miki Tsuzawa became President & CEO of Microsoft Japan in 2023. After earning an MBA from Harvard Business School, she spent over 20 years as a Senior Partner and Managing Director at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where she also served on the Executive Committee and as CMO. She is a leader driving digital transformation for Japanese enterprises.

Yutaka Matsuo | Professor, Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo

Yutaka Matsuo is Japan's foremost authority on AI research. After earning his doctorate in engineering from the University of Tokyo, he worked at AIST and Stanford University before becoming a professor at the University of Tokyo in 2019. As Chairman of the Japan Deep Learning Association (JDLA), he promotes AI human resource development, and as Chair of the Cabinet Office AI Strategy Council, he is deeply involved in national AI strategy. He also serves as an outside director at SoftBank Group and Panasonic, bridging academia and business.
